We have for several years had a very highly rated line. And it has been a big factor in our success.
That being said, it is built out of lower round guys such as Edwards and Brian Allen, a player that failed at another team (Corbett) a 2nd round homegrown pick in Havenstein, and one outstanding FA that we never expected to play so well for so long. Plus Noteboom as our swing backup who was also not a particularly high pick.
That is not a lot of resources put into the line. How do you explain the fact that they seem to play so well each year?
Is McVay scheming to help them be successful?
Is it the teaching and development done by our OL staff?
Is it something else?
I am curious what the bright minds here think. This is in no way me criticizing anything, I am just wondering how we are putting such as competent line out there year after year.
