Reason I ask is because with AD in a Wide 9 type of position and Hollins outside of him, and Gaines heads up on the OC (I'm guessing to hedge his bet so to speak) You could seal off Gaines with the LG and OC, hope your LT can seal off AD, ignore an outside rushing Hollins and run to the left with an audible. Lots of daylight after that...
I love the design, because with Hollins stacked on ADs outside shoulder, it ensures AD singled up with the guard, and on the other side Floyd and Miller are singled up against the RT and RG.
Against most teams, getting your best pass rushers singled up against the 2 OGs, and the RT gives you the best chance of one of those guys winning their one v one. Esp in the Rams case, where they were ( I believe) the top pass rush win rate unit in the league.
