And just a guess... but I think most Ram fans, at least on this board, came to cheer the Rams during the 80's. 6 playoff appearances in the 80's? You need to check me on that.
There was no lack of 'superstars' in the 80's playing for the Rams. But they never seemed to field a 'complete' team without any glaring weaknesses. Most years in the 80's they seemed so close to me to having it all together but just could never quite fill the roster enough to win it all. Very frustrating... especially when I think of some of the names from that era and that they were certainly good enough to have deserved a ring.
