How do you hire a guy who is currently suing you for racism? Or a guy who doesn't agree with ownership, makes public accusations that are pretty darn serious, and so hires a lawyer?
Can you imagine Tesla hiring the person that is currently suing them over environmental issues?

This is a very risky move that the Steelers may live to regret. Without doubt this is Mike Tomlin all the way, and it all has to do with making a statement. A political statement.

It's like I've said numerous times; the hiring of Goodell signaled a new era in the NFL that has made it very political in its calculations. It has filtered down to the coaches and the players.

We've just had one of the best post seasons in the history of the NFL. But the politics of it is going to dampen it, and it can only increase as long as Goodell is in charge.
