a couple of random thoughts on the game

Collingsworth made a great point on the Beckham TD catch. He pointed out that the DB separated Beckham's arms, leaving Beckham with one arm to secure the ball. Beckham was able to cradle the ball with one hand/arm as he hit the turf. Can't recall a WR with stronger hands.

I thought the whole "underdog" thing was overplayed. Cincy was a 5 pt dog and had beaten KC twice, Tenn once and took SF to overtime. They were hardly the Colts against the Jets or the Chargers vs. the 49ers. They were loaded with skill talent.

On third and short stop during the Bengals' final drive Gaines was as responsible for that tackle as AD. Gaines made the initial contact and AD cleaned it up.

Ramsey (and rightly so) has taken his share of criticism for his play Sunday. However after giving up the long pass to Chase, he recovered to make a TD saving play on third down on the slant to Higgins. Saved his team four points there.

I will be curious to see the PFF numbers on the O line. Interior O line obviously struggled to get push, but the TEs allowed the Cincy DEs and OLBs to crash down and make several stops. Higbee was really missed there.
