One of the biggest complaints about Morris was all of the off coverage…by giving the receivers such cushions (and often with the DBs going into an immediate backpedal) it let the QB take a short drop back and quick release to an open receiver for short gains.
What I see in the pics is two DBs up on the LOS and one 6 yards off in the SB while against CHI two are 6 yards off and Jalen is 11 yards back. In the SB, the DL had a chance to get to the Burrow…in a lot of games the QB got rid of the ball too quick.
So, was that an adjustment Morris made in the SB, or was it just an a anomalous difference in the examples chosen?
I’m honestly not challenging…I’m would just really like to know and I have nowhere near the knowledge you possess.
