A couple of things:
1) You're right...there was very little innovation with respect to our run game. I hate to say it, but I think that when Woods went down, he took away a security blanket away from McVay (in terms of operating as a blocker and timely runner in jet-sweeps).
2) It's no secret...the interior of our OL is soft. A DC with two weeks to prepare can drill it into the heads of his front 7 that all they need to do is to keep hitting the likes of Corbett and Allen in the mouth
and they will fold.I believe that this is what we've seen the past two Super Bowls.
ETA: I also believe that we've forgotten what it's like to have good LB'. The 'gals LB's played VERY well yesterday.
