article by Football Outsiders (w/ video clips) breaking down KC's 2nd half collapse vs. CIN last Sunday.
Basically says:
- Chiefs OL pass blocked well in spite of how poorly the offense did overall on 3rd downs.
- CIN basically rushed 3 and dropped 8 into coverage on every 3rd down.
- KC ran the ball well in the 2nd half (10-59 yards by RBs) but should have ran more.
KC's failed 3rd downs in the 2nd half were 3rd and 6, 3rd and 6, 2nd and 3 (INT by the DT), 3rd and 3, 3rd and 6, 3rd and 9 (fumble, recovered by KC) and 3rd and 10 (INT in OT).
So, Reid pulled a McVay at the worst possible time? Lol.
