Different scheme (on either side of the ball)...or was it just "effort" for 4 quarters?

Offensively, it was clear that we started out with the short passing attack (which was somewhat effective, IMO). But McVay had kicked that to the curb by the 2nd quarter. Wonder if losing Higbee had anything to do with that? At any rate, it seemed as though the offense went back to being its vertical self that McVay prides himself on. The O-line was left to fend for itself and (for the most part) they didn't collapse and Stafford stood tall in the pocket.

Yes, defensively, there was a commitment to stop the run. But was that the result of scheme...or just players ballin' out? Sure seemed as though somebody pee'd in Robinson's corn flakes that morning because I don't believe any of his coaches (going back to Detroit) had seen THAT player before.

Just looked like we had our collective manhood taken and we responded.
