I was wondering the same thing. Since the infraction is called "an 'illegal' hit on a defenseless receiver", that must mean there are legal hits on defenseless receivers. And since they picked up the flag, this hit must be an example of the legal variety. But it's news to me that you can blow up a so-called "defenseless" receiver in ANY way at all.
