All teams stink at drafting. Too many moving variables and all the research in the world can't get to the bottom of some things. Player's health, what he does off the field, the personal life issues, the issues of being able to absorb a huge volume of plays and game plan week to week, how much the player can improve on strength, speed, quickness, the character of the player, is the player a good teammate.
If it were not for the value of hitting on a draft pick occasionally haven't so much value on the salary cap, getting an established good player would win 90% of the time I bet versus a draft pick.
