What a cluster in the 2nd half.

Our O-line was simply OVERWHELMED by the 49'er front four - even when we brought Noteboom in as a 3rd tackle. Stafford was under seige the entire half.

Defensively...we just lost all ability to tackle. It's as simple as that.

Yet, on (and after) Ramsey's pick in the endzone, there were a couple of nuggets that might help the game plan for Sunday.

For example, on Ramsey's pick, Reeder was sent on a blitz up the middle which forced Jimmy G's bad throw. I've noticed that Morris has seemed to send him more and more in the playoffs with good success. Of course, that exposes the middle of the field, but Reeder isn't very good in open space to begin with. Soooooo...

On offense, McVay was finally able to see some success on the ground by using the jet-sweep and some misdirection. It's clear that we're missing Woods in this area (and I'd hoped that Powell might be able to contribute more here), but I think we'll see more of this in some fashion to keep that 9'er D-line thinking a bit.

Yep! I bet Rams pick up from the first half and things learned from the second.
