The problem is that the Rams seem to specialize in lapses in effort and concentration. They just can't (or won't) play for 60 minutes.

The 49ers game plan will be to keep the Rams in a tense, tight game, and shorten the game by eating the clock.

If I know this, I expect the Rams to know it and be prepared for it.
