Then hiring Prothro to replace him just solidified my newfound love for HC's. I detested Prothro and thus it made losing George hurt more. Since Prothro I've liked all the HC's the Ram's have had... but some I didn't respect much as far as their football philosophy. Martz drove me nuts... so did Knox during his second tenure but I loved the guy.
Like I believe many would say - Vermeil was my favorite, (Not considering McVay who may take over that spot for me)... but it wasn't just the SB Victory that enamored me to Vermeil... it was him, his personality. To this day I believe Vermeil was the key to that SB Victory and to this day I think he didn't get enough credit for it. I don't think he was dissed, but no where near applauded enough. - JamesJM
