JimmyG, Stafford, Burrows and Mahomes won't leave them with nothing to talk about. Granted, it's a new crop of names but I think they prefer it that way. Many fans are SICK of Brady/Rodgers so I think this Championship weekend is just what the NFL and media ordered. Sure, Allstate and Hertz and Subway may be pissed, but does anyone have any sympathy for those marketing goons?
With the passing of John Madden, I was reminded of just how much commercials have changed. Remember his Miller Lite commercials? Sports commercials in general? They were fun. Either funny or for products you might actually want. Now, they're all PSA's and insurance. Hopefully that iceberg shifts back to fun again some day. Maybe Brady and Rodgers being out of the dance will push it in a new direction.
