About the only way a guy that short can be a pocket passer is if:
1) He doesn't ever play under Center.
2) He is VERY well protected up the middle.
3) He is Drew Brees. Murray is not Drew Brees.
4) He plays against short Dlinemen and employs short Olinemen to block.
The idea of using him in an option game where he is part of the running attack is over. Murray doesn't want to run any longer. He's been too beat up and landed upon by 300 lb. men and very angry guided missiles called NFL LBs.
We've already seen the best of Murray. Arizona would be wise to trade him to a sucker who still thinks that a smurf QB who is really fast and twitchy can survive a season.
