You can see the tit middle, almost a bear front
and notice that one OLBer is a "jack"
the "jack" is always opposite the "star" and usually (not always)
has coverage responsibility and the other OLB is
essentially a DE.
If the slot receiver were on the other side, the star would be there
and the ROLB would be the jack nad owul more often than not
cover.
Of course not every time because if that happened the offense
would know what to do.
But with the Rams both OLBers play both sides and the offense
determines where the stat will play it's an advantage for the Rams
to have both OLber able to do both, though Floyd is better at coverage
Now, Brady can choose where the star is by putting the slot to one side
or the other via motion...and then he will know who is more likely to
rush and who is more likely to cover. So, he CAN try (won't always work)
to put Miller into coverage more than Floyd so it takes Miller's strong
suit away and Floyd's as well
WIll be interesting to watch.
