"Against the Cardinals, Akers rushed for 55 yards on 17 carries and also caught a 40-yard pass. Michel gained 58 yards on 13 carries, including a 35-yarder on the Rams’ first play of the game. Akers had 42 yards called back by penalties and also dropped a tough pass down the sideline that would’ve gained at least another 30, so he could’ve legitimately had another 70 yards on top of the 95 he gained."This is what Akers adds to the offense. He was not available in the first game against the Bucs. He will be 100% ready to go with a couple warm up games under his belt. I think the Bucs game will be tough and the Rams will need another mistake free effort. But honestly, I think the Rams have a better than good chance of coming out of Tampa with a W with Akers. Everyone has mentioned how good he looked last night. I feel like with Akers and Michel again carrying the load this team could easily roll out of Tampa and into the next round....... I don't think the Bucs will be ready for our run game and Akers quickness honestly.
