I don't understand the concept of changing officials within crews for playoffs.
This isn't an all star game. Football teams play for a whole season together and when it is playoff times, we don't have teams mixing players.
Referee crews should be the same.... you go into the playoffs as the same referee crew through the season.
They'll blame it on Boger for "his crew".. but it isn't his normal crew. There is a standard of Officiating that the lead Ref applies to his crew.. throughout the season they work together to apply that standard. In Playoffs, holding to that Lead Ref's standard is difficult since these "new" guys to the crew aren't used to how things are called for that particular crew. So you end up with gross inconsistencies which shouldn't happen for Playoff Games.
