I think Zeke has clearly illustrated that he benefited from a dominant OL more than he is able to create things without. Perhaps he is more dinged than is realized this year and it explains his lack of explosiveness but I don't think he'd be a good fit for the Rams.

The Rams need a back that can run and catch and produce when given an opportunity. Zeke seems like a high volume guy.

I wouldn't mind the trading of the players but the compensation would also be too much and not offset the reward. I don't think Elliott would improve the RB position to warrant the cost involved.

But I also don't know if McVay now would even use prime Gurley as much as he actually got used. There are very few Gurley's and Faulk's out there so finding a RB that can run between the tackles every down, catch like a receiver out of the backfield, take it to the house on any give play and is smarter than the QB all rolled into one is a hard thing to plan around.

Akers seems multi-faceted and he's hand picked by McSnead so maybe he's got a chance. But he's got a lot to prove and we've got Stafford and McVay calling plays so who knows how utilized the RB will be?
