Wolford is in the same boat imho.

Both have average arm strength.

In reality we are talking about perennial backup type guys, not guys that you would anticipate being long term starters (again, imho).

I wasn't really considering comparing these two players, just answering the OP's question on arm strength as it relates to Perkins is all.

Of course we all know that Most QBs have weaknesses in addition to their strengths, and 2nd/3rd string guys typically have more blemishes so you take the bad with the good.

Not saying Perkins wouldn't be good to have as a backup, he does offer that something extra in the way of mobility and off script playmaking that gives defenses fits. I just wouldn't expect him to be throwing 40-50 yards down the field often which is what I gathered the OP was asking.
