The play on Kittle was basically him arriving before he found his balance. A beat later and he's getting dragged. So yeah he did some good things.
Just trying to be realistic though. Difference between starters and backups isn't that backups can't play well. But rather that over 60 minutes there will be more mistakes. The starters are the more consistent players.
But maybe Morris put too much hope in Rapp developing. Maybe he overlooked Burgess. Thing is even if that's true we still have to endure a SS in there in a scheme where you gotta be able to cap the top and have a good feel for when to break on underneath routes and balls.
So I'm hoping the secondary plays well. But realistically the greater hope is our defensive front plays well. If the latter happens the former will happen.
