No, you're hardly alone. They had a foot to gain. A normal coach would probably call a QB sneak there, or perhaps a dive up the middle. But IF you are going to pass there, you DON'T telegraph it to the other team! I mean, how DUMB is that? You may get an open receiver there if you have a back in the backfield, because the defense has to respect the run and play run first. But not if you empty the friggin backfield. It's infuriatingly stupid.
