When the Rams blew out the 49ers early in the 1999 season, that was when they established themselves as a true Super Bowl contender. With a wide-open field this season, they could do the same thing with a blow out of the 49ers. There was a similar open field situation in 2017, when I thought the Rams were the best team, but they laid down and died at the end. I sure hope that doesn't happen today.
