If Goffs 4th Qtr numbers were down graded by early game play so should Staffords. Inconsistent was the common mantra yet with Stafford only prise and excuses from most who feel his talent is the reason Goff is gone and yet that is really all that has been upgraded. Physical talent edge to Stafford. Heroics are comparable to what we saw from Goff with healthy Gurley.
But if you spot the opponent 10+ points you absolutely have to up the effort. When I think of Staffords late game heroics I am reminded to acknowledge how comfortable he is chasing a lead rather than leading.
It's great he can be so mercurial given his penchant for throwing caution to the wind when heroics are demanded. He simply needs to be more cerebral and eliminate those necessities.
He is fortunate he is on the 2021 team or we do not make playoffs at all in 2020. This team is better on offense than last year's team.
Stafford's feat was really nice but there were some catches that the WRs made that made that possible.
