Stafford is who he is.
Now, even I didn't think he'd be this manic
But nonetheless---I think, likeyou, than Stafford CAN
correct these things going forward
I know it's superstition and not science but
some things only happen a certain amount of times
in a season, rare things, like pick 6s
and "getting them out of his system" now is better
than never getting them out.
So, would rather these things happen now,
I honestly think he CAN have 4-5 good games in a row
and that is all Rams need
It's certainly possible but I don't know how likely. I really don't understand why he has regressed. Was the Stafford of the first half of the year an illusion? Why was he not making the same kind of mistakes then? It's the opposite of how I would imagine a QB to produce while acclimating to a new offense. An inconsistent or even rough start followed by better and better efficiency is what I would understand.
Stafford should be easing into a more evolved version of himself as he learns to play on a winning team. Instead, he's just making the same mistakes and having to be saved from them. He'd have at least 5 less interceptions on the year and the same level of production if he had just a shred of discretion on those deep passes that he forces.
