I get this feeling that the Achilles injury wasn't a super severe one

What I've read says that the severity of Achilles injuries ranges from complete separation from the bone, to a slight tear. And of course the speed of recovery and the outcome is generally proportional to that severity.

I wonder if we are to take from the amazing speed of Cam's recovery that it wasn't a really bad one? The Rams under McVay are generally conservative with injuries, so I have to believe they aren't rushing him; he's just healed up well and rehabbed hard.
