My opinion of Matt Stafford ( credit to Youngblood)

December 26, 2021 06:44PM
I had the same rush of emotions for Matt Stafford as I did for Sam Bradford and they were all for the same reason. In the drafting of Bradford, I wanted Suh, but I was so excited about getting rid of Bulgar I made myself love Bradford. With Stafford, have always liked him and felt sorry for him but I never watched him. I was a Wentz guy, but Goff grew on me after his first two years with McVay and Gurley, but when Goff started to regress I and I felt he was damaged beyond repair I wanted him gone. To me Stafford is a huge upgrade from Goff, but he has not lived up to my expectations at all, Goff has a stronger arm, Stafford is more accurate than Goff but that is not saying much. Stafford is a good middle to low top tier QB, I would not sign him to a 40 million dollar deal, but I am not rushing him out the door. I am happy he is here and I hope he can win out, but he is not Rodgers, Favre, Brady, Warner he is Carr, Kirk Cousins, Trent Dilfer.
