Here’s PARAM…

SO 15 WEEKS AND WHAT DO WE KNOW?

Only a little more than what we knew in week 1.

We've watched the Arizona Cardinals start out red hot, going 7-0. We couldn't beat them. Then we couldn't catch them. They were not only the likely NFC West Champ but the #1 seed. Except a funny thing happened on the way to the coronation.

Take a look at the standings and suddenly, those mighty teams don't look so mighty. With the exception of Green Bay who clinched the North? The Ravens with a backup QB and a decimated secondary came within a 2 point conversion of beating them. Had they kicked the PAT, it would have been overtime. A lot has been made of the Packers and LaFleur/Rodgers going 13-3 two consecutive years and it's looking like 3 in a row. But let's be honest. They thrive in a weak division. The Lions, Bears and the bi-polar Vikings!!! And they make it to the CCG because they play in the Arctic but that and two 13-3 season wasn't enough to get them to the Superbowl. I'm feeling something different this year. Like a divisional round exit!!

The NFC is anything but settled.

The Bucs took one on the chin last night, dropping them from a tie for #1 to #3. Dallas is the current #2 and Arizona is ticking down, like a clock on a bomb in reverse. From 1 to 2 to 3 to 4. Another loss next week (vs. Indy) paired with some Rams success and it could tick to 5 right before they visit the Cowboys!!! Wouldn't it be shocking if they ended up the #6 seed? No. San Francisco has won 6 of their last 8 and 5 of their last 6. Houston is on their schedule so they'll have at least 9 wins, maybe 10. Hopefully not 11. :idea2: Who is the toughest team in the NFC right now. Ask 10 people and you might get 6 different answers.

The AFC? The Chiefs are the only team that looks like they're sure to win their division. The Chiefs. That team who was bi-polar and impotent the first 8 weeks of the season. They found their defense and have won 7 in a row. But before that? A not so good 4-4. Something tells me they won't make it through the playoff gauntlet this year.

There are currently 3 divisions far from decided. 7 teams with 6 losses with one leading a division (Cincinnati) and one with only a slim chance at their division (LA Chargers). There are two 7 loss teams right behind them. So there are 10 teams vying for 6 playoff spots. With 3 weeks to go. The teams who were "favored" going into 2021?

Buffalo (8-6) is in 2nd place and plays first place New England next weekend.
Baltimore (8-6) is tied for first with Cincinnati and they play each other next weekend!
Tennessee (9-5) is fighting for their lives, having lost 3 of their last 4 with 8-6 Indianapolis breathing down their necks. The Titans host San Fran, perhaps one of the hottest teams in the NFL while the Colts go to Arizona, one of the coldest teams at the moment.

Who's going to win the AFC North? With a win vs Las Vegas tonight, Cleveland would enter into a 3 team tie for first with Pittsburgh, 1/2 game behind them.

The AFC East? New England is in control but that team who used to be favored is one game back and Miami, a team most had given up on when they were 1-7, has won 6 straight. They do have a tough schedule to finish the season....@New Orleans, @ Tennessee and vs the Patriots.

NFL executives are probably toasting this season with champagne and caviar while lighting cigars with 100 dollar bills!!!! Or at least that's the picture I see!
