The league is either going to have to have positive tests play with low viral load or cancel the games this week and then use week 17 as a make-up week. Thankfully the week 17 games were all inter-divisional, so less effect on division standing / conference standing. Maybe they need to do both - low viral load play and a week off. Or they can do nothing and drag this anchor till the end of the season and into the playoffs. Imagine the bedwetting in league headquarters if Dak and a large number of the Cowboy starters had to miss a playoff game because of positive tests. Or Tom and Gronk and some other high profile players on the bucs. Horrors!
but the 17th game is not needed---as long as it does not mess up any divisional race---
