And I’ve been a Rams fan since 1967.
Even I had thought that this wasn’t a ‘fair fight’ after the Ramsey/Higbee announcements. But boy was I wrong!
Turns out that these players and coaches have the heart of a lion and I couldn’t be more proud of them.
Honestly, I was hoping that Rams could give the Cards a respectable game and go down with six guns blazing. But the Rams players and coaches had other ideas.
Too many players played above and beyond expectations to even attempt to list them here. Hell, I’d give every player that saw the field and every coach a game ball. I’m serious.
I will say this. I saw a super smart gameplan on O by McVay and a much more aggressive D by Morris and the results of both speak for themselves.
I will also say this. We just witnessed the epitome of teamwork on the field on both sides of the ball under extremely challenging personnel conditions. VERY inspiring to say the least.
Like I said, I have seldom been more proud of a Rams performance in all my 54 years of fandom. Kudos to all!
