I think Sony has shown enough that the Rams will want to keep him. But they're also not going to earmark a big chunk of cap space for him, and rightly so. So he is probably a "if he wants to take a reasonable contract they will keep him around" type guy.
But let's say he plays a primary role grinding out tough yards in the playoffs. There is room to think he could play himself out of horns in that event.
At this point to my eye at least it looks like CB and RB are going to be our biggest two needs. Williams has played himself out of here most likely, no way they try to lock him up now with his inconsistencies even though he has been looking more like himself of late. So we're gonna need a corner added to the pipeline at the least. And RB has to be a position they are beyond tired of being let down by so that's a need too and generally you can get some really good ones in round 3 and 4 or even later if you evaluate well. But there's a long way to go of course.
