I think he's a good leader and meant to be a HC. BUT, I think he would be better suited to give up his play-calling duties to an OC.

I don't know that we've ever seen McVay wearing one hat (Head Coach). Since he's been with the Rams, he wears multiple hats and I think it's too much for him. He's the HC, the OC, and the QB coach. Seriously? He can't possibly be excellent at all of them at the same time. So one or more suffers. Maybe McVay figures why bother when at the end of the season they're just going to leave anyhow when some other team raids the Rams coaching staff for talent. That seems to be the pattern, but in the meantime.. McVay is not doing this team any favors by trying to be all those jobs rolled into one.

In 2018 Rams had no Offensive Coordinator.
In 2019 Rams had no Offensive Coordinator
Kevin O'Connell has been the Offensive Coordinator since 2020, but what does that mean, exactly? Is he autonomous in that job? I'm thinking "no".

I've been screaming for a real OC WHO CALLS PLAYS ON GAME DAY for a while now. Not gonna hold my breath for it to happen.
