Where have the booming punts gone? It's a rarity to see him hit one 50+ yards anymore when it used to be the norm. He isn't too old so what is the issue?
I love Hekker but keeping him kind of bothered me considering the other punter was clearly better than him and after last season I was actually thinking the Rams needed to move on..Now we have more of the same this year.
If he was a placekicker he would have been replaced much as they did with that position last year.
He does have some serious value as a holder but his punting has fallen off big time.
He is averaging 43.1 per kick with 14 inside the 20 out of 29 kicks...It appears his net would be over 40 yards too but I was too lazy to do the math.
