McVay inherited great players on both sides of the line in Aaron Donald and Todd Gurley. His GM who has done an amazing job of acquiring talent. He brought to the table youth and enthusiasm as well as some great ideas on offense. His weaknesses in recognizing things that are obvious even to fans will be his downfall. This problem has been evident since 2017. The Rams were a fresh new power that year. They had a shot at winning it all. But McVay shut the team down for the last game. Then they were unprepared for the playoff game. This season, it has been obvious from the get-go that the new defensive and special teams coordinators are a liability. Disastrous. In the latest game, McVay failed to take what the defense gave him. The fake FG at the end of the first half was a stupid move of desperation. It appears that things could be getting really ugly. They were already ugly for the past two games. Think things were bad last year? They were. But they have lost three games this year by larger margins than any of their losses last year.

I love McVay. But I’ve gotta say that for a ‘genius’ he sometimes does some very dumb things. Lol.
