the Rams always play poorly against the niners. Ever since Martz left there has been this strange let down. No matter how bad the niners are the Rams play worse.
Since 2005 (Martz's last season) the Rams have won 9 and the niners have won 22 in matchups against each other. They have tied once. The niners since 2005 have won 117 games total... 19% of those wins have come against the Rams. For the Rams the niners have accounted for 9% of their victories.
Over the last 15 years the niners have averaged 7.8 wins a season. The Rams 6.8 wins a season. So its not like the niners were twice as good over that time period... but 9 wins in 16 seasons???. Suffice to say I don't feel good about the Rams chances... and I definitely wouldn't bet on the game. On paper the Rams should dominate them but it's hard to believe it will play out that way.
