I get the feeling that Shanny uses McVay's stubborness against him because what Shanny is stubborn about is exactly what works against what McVay is stubborn about. I watched the Cards with inferior talent, especially in the game in question, no Murray, Nuke or AJ, confound the Niners. However instead of adopting that style I have no doubt McVay wants to bash Shanny his way, to prove it can overcome Shanny. The question is, if it doesn't initially will McVay be big enough to adjust to insure the win, or will he continue to bash his head against the wall? In the past McVay has stuck to his guns against the Niners to disasterous results.
