In fact, Jefferson (and Stafford, of course) had made DJ somewhat irrelevant.
I don’t understand all this angst over the loss of ‘me first’ DJ, tbh.
I get why Jefferson beat out desean for the third receiver spot. He is the better all around receiver and is younger and cheaper. It doesn't mean that Jackson doesn't offer something that van doesnt. We just wanted to see desean used a little more because he had great success when he was inserted and brought another element to the game. We just needed to have some desean packages mixed though out the game not totally replace Jefferson. I think Jefferson is a much better redzone guy than desean and better possession receiver. Desean also gave us some punt return options that Jefferson doesn't give us either.
