All same-round picks are not the same. Rams are going to be drafting somewhere in the 26th to 32nd spot more than likely.
That means Denver is getting value that is closer to a 3rd and a 4th. I'm sure they would have preferred to send him to the Jags, or Jets, or even the Giants for the same picks that would have been 20-25 picks earlier in each round.
That's why it is important to grasp that Snead's philosophy of trading draft picks for unproven players, for proven players, is always cheaper than it appears because he calculates that these are going to always be late round picks.
