As much as I wasn't/am not a fan of the pick, it's easy to forget that this is a just turned 22 year old kid who came out of college and got handed a few million dollars and was told he was a star. Suddenly he discovers that things aren't as easy a they were in college, neither on or off the field, and just "being fast" isn't near good enough (Especially with a demanding boss like McVay) Some guys "get it " and power through this time, others can be less mature.
Hopefully during his time on away from the field he'll take the time to process the amount of work it's going to take to play in the NFL and he'll come back a little more focused. Lord knows if I could go back and talk to my just out of college self I could share a few wisdoms I learned the hard way.
