The Denver Broncos are looking to trade cornerback Kyle Fuller, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The NFL insider listed a number of players rumored to be available before the November 2 trading deadline, including edge rushers Melvin Ingram and L.J. Collier, tackle Andre Dillard, and receiver Andy Isabella, but Fuller would make the most sense from the perspective of the LA Rams.

Broncos cornerback Kyle Fuller: The Broncos received trade calls prior to the season, choosing instead to hang onto Fuller as added depth. But now, Ronald Darby is healthy, and Fuller has been the odd man out. With so many cornerback-needy teams, could Fuller be a trade target this time? For the right price, perhaps. He didn’t play a snap on Thursday night and played just two in the previous game.

The Rams freed up over $3 million in current cap space by restructuring the contract of right tackle Rob Havenstein on Saturday. LA is also in an uncomfortable position at cornerback, as Darious Williams is on injured reserve, David Long has struggled, Robert Rochell is only a rookie, and Donte’ Deayon’s a six-year veteran with little regular season experience.

The 29-year-old Fuller is 6’, 194 lbs, and is on a one-year, $9.5 million contract with the Denver Broncos. It’s going to end up being a high cost for the Broncos to pay to a cornerback who they don’t even want. The Broncos have lost four straight following a 3-0 start and Fuller has been relegated to the bench as of late. We are just around the midpoint of the season now, leaving roughly $5 million on Fuller’s one-year deal.

That is more than what the Rams currently have available to them but if Les Snead does choose to get involved, adjustments could be made.

Fuller led the NFL with seven interceptions as a member of the Chicago Bears in 2018, the first of two Pro Bowl appearances, but advanced stats say he has allowed 10 touchdowns in the previous two seasons — and already two touchdowns in limited action this season.

Would Kyle Fuller be the answer to LA’s secondary woes?
