and I was thinking... "holy crap, he missed Kupp by a mile!" Then, out of the sea of pea green soup that is the Seahawk Defense, appears Bobby Trees, and my thought changed immediately to... "holy crap, that was a great ball!".
And you're right, Robert Woods is such an unsung hero, even when he's not catching balls. But he had an awesome night receiving!
I really enjoyed Aikman & Joe Buck discussing how Woods and Kupp have a grading system they use to compare their play, and receiving stats is just one piece of it. Blocking on running plays, and downfield on passing plays is a big part of both Kupp and Woods games.
Great to see Woods have an impactful "stats" night!
