Interesting. I thought I had heard Smith's name mentioned as part of trade rumors towards the end of training camp, but chalked it up to just that (i.e. rumor) once he made the team. Have to wonder what's going on here. I know that he carries a hefty cap hit for the Cowboys, but you would think that, with injury-prone Vander Esch merely a play away from IR, he'd be kept merely for depth.
