This is how I would grade it:
If the Rams win a Super Bowl with Stafford, great trade
If the Rams are constantly fighting to get in the Super Bowl # NFC Championship with losses. good trade
If the Rams win 1 NFC West and are in the playoffs via wild card: I applaud the fact we attempted to better ourselves but we swung and missed.
as far as the Lions, it was a good trade not matter what happens
With Goff--Rams were a playoff team and likely would still be--he was regressing
but was not killing us, either. He did get us TO a Super Bowl and we didn't get blown out
With Goff and those picks--team starts to reload--and is a contender for a while
The goal with Stafford is to win it all---he is supposed to have that much ability--
you know, with McVay and rams talent, he's instant MVP contender, Rams favorite to at least get
to the Super Bowl. Rams "all in"
All I have ever said is we need to wait and see--and you outline some good criteria to evaluate
the trade
