Last year I don't remember this board loving this Ram's defense till round say week 8 or 9. The Ramsey taking away your favorite weapon thing became a regular occurring thing by then and the PA (points against) part of the standing was starting to really stand out. Point being by the end of the year our defense had some historic stats however that didn't become evident until the 3rd quarter of the season. It takes time for defenses to adjust and grow and our great defense last year finished a lot stronger than it started. I am not suggesting that this defense will put up historic numbers by season's end but we wouldn't have said that about last years defense at this point either, in fact wasn't this the week last year the Bills went up and down the field on us? I am not saying (like AR), RELAX but I am saying stop planning to jump off the building. Memory is a funny thing we look back on Staley as this genius that it was obvious that his defense would be incredible but I remember many Herd posts, why did we get rid of Wade for this unknown, meaning how it was all going to end up wasn't apparent and even with this historically great defense it took a couple of games on the chin last year.
