Shanny is too damned smart not to make this obvious adjustment. He regularly out plans McVay. Now, the lass of Saleh is something I predicted would affect them. The season is still early and for years the Pats looked beatable in the regular season only to turn it on late and in the playoffs. The Niners have that kind of ability. Injuries have actually been an even bigger issue which makes expanding and adjusting schemes more difficult like it did the Rams in 19.
I won't be dancing on their grave until we beat them. The Rams are the better team but the 9ers are still formidable and capable of running the table. Players telling truth is not all bad. It's unusual for the press to hear it but not uncommon during and after a loss. Of course we all want to see them implode...but I wouldn't bet on it.
Leo, I hear ya, but the loss of Mostert can't be overstated. All McVay really has to do is make sure we match their intensity. To me, it's been obvious, To the 49ers , the game means something. To the Rams, it's just another game.
