Well it is not really a Morris system as the Rams have stuck with the Fangio/Staley system from last year with a few Morris tweaks.
The main premise of this defense is to play 2 high safeties to limit any big plays down the field. The plan is to allow check downs and force high powered offenses into short passes and slow long disciplined drives. The hope is that they'll become impatient and try to force things leading to turnovers.
It takes a skilled disciplined QB like Rodgers showed against us last year to overcome this system if we do it right. And 99 missing was huge factor in that loss as well.
