People were quick to crown and pay Allen after last year's sensational season. I was/am still dubious just because last year was the first and only year Allen showed me anything close to elite play. When I heard about the Bills extending him early I was like, how do we know this isn't another Nick Foles case? Nick Foles had one spectacular season as a starter and only approached it again once for the end of the Wentz injury season and the playoffs that year. I expected at least a little regression to the mean for Allen but what if last year was a complete outlier and Allen is more who he was pre-2020 season? He could very well be a Fitzpatrick level QB with one stellar season ala Nick Foles because looking back that season for Foles was truly an outlier Buffalo better hope the same isn't true for Allen.
