I understand it is the beginning of the season. I keep reading and hearing how this D will gel as the season goes on. What scares me is how many yards the run game is giving up, how open guys are on routes and how much space there is before a defender gets to a back on a swing pass. Maybe it's me, but last year's D seemed to be around the ball immediately. If the run game was leaking, adjustments were made to shore it up. Db's played up on receivers and pressured them. there were fewer long drives and more 3 and outs. Yes, our D made some key stops today, but elite qbs (Carson played well but is not elite) are going to eat all that freebie stuff up. How many times did we force a punt. I do not post much, but have been concerned about the DC since the hiring. Am I over reacting or do we not have some issues? Bucs and Brady are coming next week.
