The Rams typically run a light box

The Rams want their Dline to play a gap and a half, which means that the LBs can play back. And the Dline didn't do all that well last night. The strategy is to limit explosive plays. They certainly accomplished that in the pass game, but not in the run game.

No doubt the Rams will probably always have middling stats against the run. But they have to do better that they did last night, and I suspect they will.
